Hybrid Three-Phase Transformer-Based Multilevel Inverter With Reduced Component Count

چکیده
This paper proposes a novel three-phase transformer-based multilevel inverter (MLI) topology to maximize the output voltage levels for high-power high-voltage applications while reducing component counts as compared its counterparts. The proposed hybrid is formed by connecting three-level T-type module with full H-bridge cells through single-phase transformers. fixed cell can be repeated enlarging without increasing stress on switches. Key features of include low part count, capacitor-free, diode-free, boosting, simple control, and modularity. Within framework, low-frequency pulse width modulation (LFPWM) switching scheme used control voltage, working principle detailed seven-, nine-, N-level operation. operability performance are numerically verified experimentally validated at different loads. Moreover, conversion efficiency examined. Finally, comparative study existing MLI circuits conducted prove key merits.
